We are thrilled to welcome you to the beautiful Bahamas for Yeshiva Week 2020 and we hope you will have a relaxing and memorable vacation.

 

Enclosed you will find all the information you need for Yeshiva Week - January 16 through January 27, 2020.

 

Daily and Shabbos Minyan.

 

There will be a daily Minyan for Shachris and Mincha/Maariv.

 

Shachris 8:15 am at the FATHOMS RESTAURANT (behind the Royal Tower) This is a short walk from any of the Atlantis towers.

 

Mincha/Maariv 5:30pm Behind the REEF TOWER

 

 

 

Shabbos Parshas Shemos and Parshas Va’eira

 

Shabbos Shemos begins at 5:25 pm and ends 6:20 pm. 
 

Shabbos Va’eira begins at 5:30 pm and ends at 6:25 pm.

 

Mincha/Kabbalos Shabbos will be at 5:30pm at the Coral Tower convention center.

Candles will be available for women to light. (Both weeks)

 

Shabbos Shemos Shachris is at 9:00am at the Coral Tower convention center (there will be a Women’s section). Mincha followed by Havdalah at 5:30 pm.

 

Parshas Va'eira Shachris is at 9:00am at FATHOMS RESTAURANT (there will be a Women’s section). Mincha followed by Havdalah at 5:30 pm.

 

Kosher Food

 

We are overjoyed to announce that for the first time the Atlantis resort will be offering a pop up Kosher restaurant under the OK Kosher supervision for the dates of Yeshiva week 2020 (Jan 16th through Jan 27th) they will offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner each day, as well as Shabbos dinner, lunch, and shaleshudes.

 

Breakfast and lunch each day will take place at the Beach Bites outdoor restaurant behind the Cove. (No advance reservation needed)

Dinner will be at Sea Grapes restaurant in the Beach Tower. (Reservations must be made 3 days in advance)

Shabbos dinner and lunch will take place at the Coral Tower convention center. (Reservations must be made 3 days in advance)

Please note: Chabad will not be hosting separate Shabbos meals over Yeshiva week.

Customs and local groceries.

According to Bahamas customs you are allowed to bring in to the country any food you wish. (Besides fresh fruits and vegetables)

 

You will be pleasantly surprised at the large selection of kosher food that can be found in local groceries.

 

Fresh Market grocery, which is a 10 minute drive from the Atlantis and another location a 5 minute drive from the Airport has a large selection of Kosher food, including deli meats, cheeses, hot dogs, frozen chicken and meat, Kedem Grape juice, bissli, bamba, chocolate, etc. To inquire about the availability of a specific item feel free to call the grocery store directly at Atlantis location 1-242 677 7290 Airport location 1-242 677 7280

Please note: At this time they will be no other Minyan besides at the Atlantis over Yeshiva week dates and no other Kosher restaurants on the island.
